I should have kept counting yesterday - Linda and I started making cookies and I had to taste a few of them (they were small, but still.... too many) and I feel bad. Dang it!

It's coming...
I'm so excited, the scale was good to me this morning! It could have something to do with the fact that I had literally just come back from the gym this morning but either way I lost a pound! Wooowhooo!

Hump Day
hehehe.
So today my goal is no Starbucks, not even hot chocolate. I have half of my coke zero from yesterday and then after that the goal is no more soda during the week...slowly but surely...baby steps! :)
2 pts - yogurt
2 pts - 3/4 of a banana...the rest was brown and gross.
5 pts - Banana Nut Bread Protien/Energy bar
8 pts - Chicken & Cheese Quesadilla (actually two 4-pt servings, but who's counting?? Oh wait! I am!)
Like 2 sips of water. I didn't bring my bottle of water today and drinking out of a cup isn't the same...how's that for a lame ass excuse!

Exercising makes my toes hurt - I think its because I can't find the perfect length for my nails and jogging on them for 30+ minutes HURTS after a while. I love my shoes. Maybe I need thicker socks too? UGH.
I've gone back down from what the scale said yesterday (the post about the scale being mean), that is good. But will I ever meet my goals?

I'll just keep on chuggin along, because the alternative IS worse (just debating on which is more enjoyable today). Ya know?!

Cleansed and Reborn...
Or something. It's not raining here, but I'll roll with it... :)
Went grocery shopping last night...got food for breakfast, lunch, morning snacks and afternoon snacks, and then got up and packed my lunch this morning. Woo Hoo! :)
2 pts - Yoplait light...the old standard. Worked last time!
2 pts - 1/2 cup Curves Cereal (in my yogurt..it's actually 3 pts for a serving and a serving is 1 cup, but I wasn't too precise on the measurments, so I"ll go with 2 pts)
5 pts - Toffee Nut Buzz Protien Bar (mid morning snack - totally hit the spot)
6 pts - Smart Ones Frozen Dinner
2 pts - 100 cal pack of Sun Chips
1 pt - Baby carrots
0 pts - Coke Zero (20 oz)
4 pts - iced tall non-fat peppermint hot chocolate (yeah, I iced my hot chocolate, what??) :)
**Not sure how many points dinner was...Amy, Stacia and I split a Trader Joes frozen cheese pizza (I'll have to look up the nutritional info next time I'm there), so we each had two slices, then a baby spinach and romaine salad and fruit salad with a little whipped cream for dessert. All in all fairly healthy, though I think portion sizes were a little big.
I need to be drinking more water though! K, I've had 48 ounces of water thus far today. I like the word thus. Anywho...48 ounces is good. If I can down another bottle (24 oz) before I leave and one more at home, I will be happy with today's water consumption.

Got on the scale today to weigh three pounds more. Maybe turkey day really caught up to me? Maybe I didn't do as well not eating while baking cookies?

We're right in the middle of the holidays and there is no excuse for gaining weight over the holidays! Eat more means exercise more and be even better with what you eat and how much around the days before/after the gatherings.
For what may be the first time, I've managed to do this. I had a thin slice of key lime pie and a slightly larger piece of pumpkin cheesecake and was way stuffed - but had quite "small" portions compared to years past and didn't go back for seconds. I weighed in 7 pounds heavier by the end of the day - thought that was hilarious. Next day, right back on track and today I weigh what I did the day before turkey day! Thanks to a long run and good eating afterwards the holiday was no excuse.

Who knew that diet white cranberry juice (with half water) tasted SO GOOD? I hate red cranberry juice too.... ha!

hehe! That's what the weightwatcher leader said on Sat. a.m. as we were leaving...it was part of a sort of cult like chant...hehe, not that bad, but still kinda funny. But I loved the first line...
Weekend = bad
Monday = starting over. Oh so classic.
5 pts - Spinach, feta, roasted tomato wrap (starbucks 240 cal, 10g fat, 7 g fiber...not bad!)
4 pts - iced tall non-fat caramel macciatto
8 pts - 2 vegetable spring rolls, Hana Grill
0 pts - Edamame - yum, soybeans! :)
4 pts - 1/2 cup serving of ice cream cake for Jessie's bday
Don't worry - I'm so up there right now I get TONS of points. :) :(
Oh, and PS -- that WW meeting on Saturday was at 7 a.m. YES, I got up at 7 a.m.
I'm trying to quit soda cold turkey today. From now on all my rum is going to be drank (drunk?) straight up on the rocks! LOL
It's 4:02 and still no soda! A mini-record for me lately!

You're back!
Oh the page felt so empty without you. I need you to bitch with me, don't ever leave me again!
I really didn't want to exercise this morning. I did, and am glad its over with - but according to my schedule I have to go back and lift weights after work. It's better with a plan, with a schedule. Need to feel like I have to do it, or something.
I ate bad things yesterday. Going to focus on that - two scoops of rainbow sherbert ice cream in the middle of the day. Trail mix. Beef jerky. Big serving of pasta (it says low carbs and had 12g of protein?!). A whole peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Edamame. Cheese stick. Cheese on my beans and corn (leftover from burritos). Cottage cheese. Sour cream on everything. It wasn't necessarily bad things, just really BAD QUANTITIES. No water. No soda either, but no water.
Today is a new day? Started with an apple. And water.

Forgot to mention
That on the way back from camping we all stopped for lunch - we shared a salad and a ham n cheese sandwich. No fries. Split a piece of key lime pie because the menu said it was award winning....
so that was our dessert for this week already! No more dessert until Thanksgiving! AHHHH!!

We went out for our first dessert - Mattheson's for ice cream and a cookie to share. SO GOOD. Didn't finish the cookie! Can you believe that? We're doing well after our official "diet" and we have an exercise plan in place too...

Oh the time change....
Well, I can't tell you how exciting it is to have Jackson want to lose weight with me! We're taking advantage of the time change and getting up early tomorrow morning to hit the gym before work! YEAH! It will only be Mon/Weds for me and he works out Tues/Thurs/Fri with his command. I have to keep a swim or two going in the afternoon... and I also have to come home from working out by 6:30am in order to take dixie out for a walk and get her tired before work starts!
Speaking of that... it is going to be a crazy busy two weeks.... with work.
The diet we're doing until Thursday has been easy (I so wanted to say a piece of cake, ha! ...guess I just did). We're just practicing to keep the mental game of eating better and eating less for when we're "off" the "diet." I hate saying diet.
One more thing before I go... he tells EVERYONE we're doing this, and it is just so weird. It is kinda nice in a way, but I do feel embarassed a bit when everyone knows. I think I need to get over it, in a way its better to have everyone know because then you need to have results... know what I mean?

A week before weigh in!
So we've made a pack to have a stricter diet including cabbage soup the next seven days. Wish us luck! I've held off three pounds since the last one, but that means I gained four back - I know what its from - WISCONSIN CHEESE. And dessert in general. Ugh. We bought rainbow sherbert though, I was so proud - after we looked at all of them too. HA!
